FuelQuest is committed to driving out unnecessary costs and increasing efficiencies across the fuel supply chain. Interaction between common carriers, retailers and commercial and industrial users of fuel is one of the most important links in the chain.
FuelQuest serves motor fuel common carriers in the following ways:
- Common Carriers can deploy FMS to run their Dispatch, Sourcing & Freight operations
- FuelQuest's FMS system is a highly functional solution for carriers who wish to dispatch and maintain freight rates, mileage and contracts in a central web-based system
- Common Carriers can also support the operations of other fuel buyers who use FMS and Fuel Center by logging on to FMS via the web to enter BOL/Delivery & Freight information in a central platform.
As a member of PCATS, FuelQuest supports two interfaces between FMS and the common carrier:
- Delivery Report Interface - FMS leverages the PCATS-NAXML industry standards to integrate the accounting/billing systems of common carriers and Delivery/Order/BOL capture capabilities of FMS. This interface transmits BOL, order, delivery and freight invoice information from a common carrier information system into FuelQuest's FMS system
- Carrier Load Tender Interface - Provides integration between those placing motor fuel transportation orders and the carrier who carries them out. This interface includes lifting instructions such as which rack to lift from, what product to pull, and where to deliver the fuel.
FuelQuest also supports one interface between the supplier and FMS:
- eBOL Interface - Finally, the world of fuel suppliers and common carriers meet for the benefit of fuel buyers. FuelQuest supports an electronic bill of lading (eBOL) interface that transmits BOL information from terminal automation systems and auto-populates order, delivery and BOL information in FuelQuest's FMS.
FuelQuest's FMS standard web interface allows carriers to efficiently enter BOL, delivery and freight information. These web interfaces allow carriers of all sizes to participate in greater integration and efficiency with those they provide service.
FuelQuest's Fuel Management System (FMS) is the most comprehensive, end-to-end supply chain solution focused on reducing the cost of procuring, managing and accounting for bulk fuel. FMS powers the largest fuel management network in North America with more than 15 billion gallons managed annually. Using FMS, fuel managers and procurement managers can capture and minimize true fuel costs by understanding demand patterns, optimizing inventory, centralizing supply contracts, determining best price on market versus contract, ...
